El paso del tiempo determin\u00f3 la transformaci\u00f3n de este espacio, entre 1982 y 1984, en el \u00faltimo taller de Salvador Dal\u00ed y en el mausoleo para su musa.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando Dal\u00ed compr\u00f3 el Castillo, en 1969, estaba muy deteriorado, con techos ca\u00eddos, grietas importantes y el jard\u00edn en estado semisalvaje. Todo ello otorgaba al conjunto un aspecto rom\u00e1ntico que es lo que los Dal\u00ed y que intentaron mantener en la restauraci\u00f3n que encomendaron. Se consolid\u00f3 el aspecto ruinoso exterior, sin ocultar las cicatrices provocadas por el paso del tiempo.<\/p>\n<p>Salvador Dal\u00ed utiliz\u00f3 de manera muy inteligente las paredes y los techos semiderruidos, creando espacios insospechados y de dimensiones muy contrastadas; concibi\u00f3 la decoraci\u00f3n interior bas\u00e1ndose en representaciones pict\u00f3ricas en los muros, falsas arquitecturas, barroquismo textil, antig\u00fcedades, simbolog\u00eda de car\u00e1cter rom\u00e1ntico &#8230; <strong>El resultado es un lugar cerrado, misterioso, privado, austero y sobrio, con espacios de gran belleza como la antigua cocina convertida en cuarto de ba\u00f1o o el Sal\u00f3n del Piano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El castillo de P\u00fabol es una continuaci\u00f3n de Portlligat, con personalidad propia. Es el regalo de Dal\u00ed a Gala, a quien adora y a la que no puede acceder sin permiso escrito de ella.
